When bug spray fails, don't scratch—soothe.

Even our strongest homemade sunblock bug balm can’t stop every bite. That’s why I keep this Itch-Stopping Cream in our homestead cabinet.

Made with calendula, colloidal oatmeal, clay, and essential oils, it calms itching fast—and it’s backed by both tradition and peer-reviewed science.

Get the full recipe, learn how to make infused oil, and find the right carrier for your skin type.

Tired of chemical sunscreens and bug sprays that barely work?

🌱🏡 Homesteading: Embracing Sustainable Living! 🌿🌍

Hey friends! Today, I wanted to share my passion for homesteading and how it promotes sustainability. 🏡💚

Homesteading is all about embracing a self-sufficient lifestyle while minimizing our impact on the environment. It's a beautiful journey that allows us to reconnect with nature, reduce waste, and live more sustainably. 🌿✨

One of the most incredible aspects of homesteading is growing our own food. By cultivating our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, we reduce our reliance on industrial agriculture, which often involves harmful pesticides and long-distance transportation. Plus, there's nothing quite like the taste of freshly harvested produce from your own backyard! 🍅🥕

Another sustainable practice in homesteading is raising animals. Whether it's chickens for eggs, pigs for meat, or bees for honey, these animals provide us with valuable resources while contributing to a healthier ecosystem. They help us reduce food waste by consuming kitchen scraps and provide natural fertilizers for our gardens. 🐔🐐🐝

Homesteading also encourages us to repurpose and upcycle items, reducing our consumption and waste. From creatively reusing old jars for storage to transforming pallets into furniture, the possibilities are endless! It's amazing how a little creativity can turn something discarded into a valuable addition to our homestead. ♻️🛠️

Moreover, homesteading promotes energy efficiency. By harnessing renewable energy sources like solar panels or wind turbines, we can power our homes sustainably and reduce our reliance on GVEA. It's a win-win for both our ability to provide for ourselves and helps our wallets! ☀️💨

Lastly, homesteading fosters a sense of community and sharing. We can exchange surplus produce, seeds, or knowledge with our neighbors, creating a network of support and resilience. Together, we can build a more sustainable future, one homestead at a time! 🤝🌱

So, whether you're already a homesteader or simply curious about sustainable living, let's embark on this incredible journey together. Let's learn from each other, inspire one another, and make a positive impact on our planet. 🌍💚

Share your thoughts, experiences, or any sustainable tips you've learned along the way! Let's keep the conversation going and spread the homesteading love! 🏡✨
