Prior to moving to Alaska in 2020, I worked as a nurse assistant and then as an cardiology technician specializing in the labor and delivery unit. (Being present during births involving a mother or baby with any cardiac concerns.) Working in labor and delivery made me realize how much more I wanted to work with mothers during the childbirth process. I moved to Fairbanks and had my own baby girl shortly after. I decided to become a birth doula after wanting to for a long time. I am now in the process of becoming a midwife assistant and am very excited to continue my training and continue helping mothers during their life changing time. I have always had a love for helping women through labor, birth and postpartum. My goal is to be there for mothers during this life changing time, to help them be more prepared going into labor and delivery, and throughout the birth.
