It takes less than 2 mg of fentanyl to overdose, which is smaller than the tip of a pencil.

Fentanyl is a deadly synthetic opioid that is the leading cause of overdose death among Alaskans.

Any pill you get outside of a pharmacy can have fentanyl in it. Learn more about fentanyl and how to protect yourself and your loved ones at https://ow.ly/Ei2t50Vu9Ue.

There are some important changes happening with patient travel services. ANMC is currently upgrading their travel software, which has caused some delays. If you're referred to Anchorage for care, please call Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center Patient Travel at 907-451-6682, ext. 3711 to confirm your travel arrangements.

We also have exciting news: kiosks are now available at the Fairbanks Airport to help patients with travel coordination and questions. Satellite kiosks are set up at Wright Air, with one coming soon at Everts. You can stop by and speak directly with a staff member for assistance during business hours.

And coming later this month—Patient Travel will be moving to a new 24/7 toll-free number. This all-in-one line will help with:
• Flight arrangements, tickets, and lodging
• Rescheduling travel
• Missed connections
• Reimbursement questions

This new number will supplement or replace the current ext. 3711. Stay tuned for more details on when the number goes live!
