You know what ticks me off more than 20-som**hing influencer âTiffanyâ telling women my age that we are âtaking the easy way outâ by using G L P 1ď¸âŁâs???
âDavidâ, the MALE fitness influencer telling a menopausal woman that if she would just be in a calorie deficit, sheâd lose the weight AND if she uses previously mentioned medication she is guaranteed to crash her metabolism by losing half her muscle. (Did you know David is the male version of the âKarenâ).
Listen dude, until youâve had hot flashes that make a Texas summer feel cool, night sweats that could wake the dead, and hormones more whacked out than a m**h head looking for its next fix, you need to sit down.
While I agree if all you do is take the đ, starve yourself and drop a ton of weight fast, you WILL crash your metabolism.
But hereâs the thingâŚif you DONâT take the đ, starve yourself and lose a ton of weight fast, guess what happens? You crash your metabolism.
I mean I get it, the dude is just trying to sell his online coaching, but he doesnât have to be a dick about it. But I really dislike it when someone who has never been through what we go through, patronize and shame those that use a tool in the toolbox.
And of us who have had our bodies put through the hormonal s**t storm that is menopause and itâs ugly stepsisters peri and post, take a backseat.
And one last thing, I guess itâs called MEN-opauseâŚbecause David needs to pause before opening his yap next time.
