While taking the train from New York to D.C. for some meetings this past week, I got the news that Operation Underground Railroad had rescued it’s 3,000th survivor. What a very surreal and encouraging moment. I remember pitching the idea of so many years ago and getting eye rolls and laughter. “You can’t privatize the rescue and rehabilitation of children.”

Fast forward to today, we are so amazed by the cooperation and support of all the local law enforcement agencies we work with! I can’t tell you how passionate these people are to end human trafficking.

I’m beyond grateful we took the leap and did this. 3,000.... 3,000!!! Three thousand lives O.U.R. has been able to save and so many more to go. The other number that means a lot to me is the number that have been put away- over 1500! Imagine how many more thousands have been kept out of their grasps!
