Here at Spine Care Specialists Of Alaska we utilize minimally invasive surgeries including disk replacement and reconstructive fusion surgery for the spine. We also treat wide spread peripheral nerve conditions and offer endoscopic carpal tunnel release. We treat all types of brain tumors and use modalities including intraoperative neuro-navigation systems. Our mission at Spine Care Specialists of Alaska is to provide each patient with compassionate care and to render an individual assessment and treatment plan that affords patients improved quality of life both at work and in pursuit of the many activities Alaska has to offer. Meet the Team: Desiree — CPPM, Surgery Coordinator & Medical Assistant

For the past 10 years, Desiree has served as the Practice Manager at Spine Care Specialists of Alaska, bringing more than 20 years of medical field experience to our team.

As a Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) and Surgery Coordinator, Desiree oversees the day-to-day business and administrative operations of our practice. She works closely with Dr. Lopez, our staff, and our patients to ensure every part of your experience is smooth, organized, and centered around quality care.

Desiree also guides patients step-by-step through the entire surgery scheduling process, helping them feel supported and informed from start to finish.

We’re incredibly grateful for her leadership, expertise, and dedication to both our team and the patients we serve.

Brent is our Lead Neurophysiologist here at Spine Care Specialists of Alaska. He performs all of our nerve conduction studies and provides intraoperative neuro monitoring to help ensure precision and safety during surgery.

Brent also assists patients with any medical equipment needs following their procedure, helping ensure a smooth and comfortable recovery process.

Mike Priebe, PA-C, has been with Spine Care Specialists of Alaska for seven years. A Certified Physician Assistant for over 15 years, Mike brings extensive experience in surgical assisting and patient care.

Before joining our team, PA Priebe proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he gained valuable clinical and surgical experience in high-demand environments. Since retiring from the military, he has continued his commitment to serving others, now through providing exceptional spine care to our Alaska community.
