🌟 Sentimental Sarah’s Reflections on 12 Years Together at Dr. Wappett’s 🌟
As we look back on our incredible journey weve traveled with Desirée and Amy…and everyone along the way… I’m filled with gratitude and love. These amazing women have been more than just colleagues; they are truly (work) family.
Twelve years ago, I was just 2 years into a new chapter as a dental office manager, after dedicating the previous twelve years to being a stay-at-home mom. Desirée was a brand new mom herself back then, and now she’s embraced the joys of her own beautiful, large family and farming full time. It’s inspiring to see how we’ve all grown and made adjustments to this, life’s ultimate agility test!
Next week, we’ll be saying goodbye to Amy as she embarks on her retirement to Arkansas. It’s well-deserved, and certainly earned, yet bittersweet, as she was the same age I am now when we first started working together 14 years ago. Our shared memories—filled with laughter, challenges, and miracles—remind us how far we’ve come.
Together we moved from our first little office downtown, to the building years where our practice eventually grew out of the strip mall, to the new facility. Every step has been a testament to the fruits of a united purpose of service to others; resilience and faith. Standing in our new space together, I couldn’t help but capture the moment with a photo and a group hug, filled with appreciation for the shared experiences. It was surreal to take a walk down memory lane yesterday; to laugh about some things, and sigh in reverence for the miracles God has carried us through. Peaks and valleys are a reality of life. What a gift to have been witnesses, sounding boards and supports to one another. I’m a better person for knowing so many wonderful, truly good people—our team, patients and Dr. Wappett all these years. Life is just better when we are counting our blessings, and I feel incredibly grateful to have these amazing people in my life. Like the middle of any week, taking the long view enables each of us to glance back upon lessons learned and cherished memories to glean strength for the paths ahead! Happy Wednesday!
