Dear Patients and Peeps: The clinic had a small electrical fire, in the middle of the night, caused by the bathroom fan. It was caught and contained early thanks to another building tenant and the Fire Department. The clean-up in the main office and treatment rooms will hopefully be completed by the weekend and we sincerely apologize for all of the cancellations this week. Our bathroom will be out of commission until further notice, but there are other options in the building. It is our goal to re-open by this coming Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Military Veterans/Disabled Veterans are protected by diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. DEI is a broad term that includes programs and initiatives that aim to create fairer workplaces and schools.

Explanation:
Veterans' Preference Act: This law gives veterans an advantage when being hired from lists of eligible applicants.
Special hiring authorities: Federal agencies can use these rules to hire people with disabilities outside of the normal hiring process.
Rehabilitation Act of 1973: This law protects disabled individuals from discrimination.
Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA): This law protects veterans from discrimination.
DEI also includes making workplaces more accessible for disabled people. This can include providing software for visually impaired people or desk setups for people who use wheelchairs.
Veterans bring unique perspectives and experiences to organizations. They may have worked with cutting-edge technology, understand teamwork methods, and have a strong work ethic.

If you are a Woman, Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Asian, Indian or any other POC, LGBTQ+, or just a cis white guy who worries for the previously mentioned minorities and feel you need extra support at this time, please let us know.
