With building high pressure over the Interior, another round of cold and dry arctic air will filter through the Interior this week. Temperatures will begin to drop tomorrow as the coldest air moves south. Clear skies overnight will allow for strong inversions to set up. During our 11 hour days, there will be sufficient solar mixing of the inversion to have these 30 to 40 degree temperature swings. A warm-up is expected this weekend as warmer air returns from the Bering Sea.
