It’s National Infant Immunization Week 💙
Vaccines play a critical role in protecting babies and young children from serious, preventable diseases like measles, whooping cough, and polio. Staying on schedule with immunizations helps keep not only your child safe, but our entire community healthy.
If you have a child under age 2, now is a great time to check in with your provider and make sure they’re up to date on recommended vaccines.

We had a great time cooking up some fun today at JCH&L! 🍽️
Lisa Edeal, Director of Nutrition Services, led a hands-on kids cooking class with four kid and adult pairs working side by side. Together, they created a full meal from scratch including fruit skewers, a fresh salad, and pasta with homemade sauce.

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month 🫶
We’re proud to support those living with Parkinson’s in our community. In addition to therapy services, JCH&L offers a Parkinson’s Support Group that meets on the third Wednesday of each month, providing a place to connect, share, and find encouragement.

What a great year with our Health Care Heroes! 💙
JCH&L was excited to once again partner with Fairbury Public Schools, the Nebraska Hospital Association, and the Nebraska Health Care Foundation to bring the Health Care Heroes League to Fairbury 3rd graders.
Throughout the year, students explored healthcare careers, learned healthy habits, and discovered what it means to care for others. We’re so proud of this group and loved seeing them celebrate in their Health Care Heroes shirts!

JCH&L occupational therapists Cassidy Bentley and Taylor Zimmerman hosted an assistive device relay for staff, giving everyone a hands-on look at the tools patients may use every day. From a wheelchair obstacle course to one-handed peg placement, button hooks, and sock aids, it was both eye-opening and fun.
Congratulations to Judd Stewart, Facilities Director, for taking first place with the fastest time! 👏
