In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the recent statement by Virginia’s Governor for the “stay in place” order, we at ISMPT would like to inform you that we are considered essential as health care professionals. We are continuing to provide care as prescribed by your healthcare provider, following all necessary safety guidelines. Our family at ISMPT wants you to know that we are following the necessary precautions recommended by both the CDC and VDH to ensure that ISMPT is safe for our patients and staff to continue care at our facility. We don’t want you to think that you are unable to receive the necessary care provided by PT to help recover from your injuries during these troubling times. There is already enough uncertainty right now but one thing that you can be certain about is that we are here for you to return to your prior level of function after surgery or an injury.
We have remained open through these last few weeks by taking diligent steps to make sure all is clean and pts are separated. We continue to space out appointments to help insure safe distances when at all possible. We are utilizing our 3 private rooms and only using 4 of the 7 tables in the clinic. ( keeping one open between patients) We are cleaning all equipment after each use and rotating all pts through equipment to help with spacing.
If you would like to return for treatment we recommend wearing a mask. We have hand sanitizer for all to use also.
We are also offering Telehealth visits for our patients that are unable to attend PT, so your care and progress do not have to stop. At this point in time, the majority of health insurances are waving the cost to patients to receive these services. We don’t want you to think that you have to remedy your pain alone when you can have one on one guidance from our staff. WE ARE OPEN AND TREATING PATIENTS

We understand the growing concern about the rapidly changing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and want to keep you informed.

We are prepared and taking the appropriate measures as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the protection and safety of our patients and staff.

What You Need to Know:
At this time, there are no known cases of COVID-19 at our practice.
We are cleaning and disinfecting regularly. We have intensified our cleaning and disinfecting procedures of frequently touched surfaces.
We ask that patients use hand sanitizer and/or wash their hands:
Before each treatment,
After handling paperwork and/or touching any surfaces and/or therapy equipment, and
Upon leaving our facility.
If you've traveled overseas, you should stay at home for 14 days after returning from travel, monitor your health, and practice social distancing.
Anyone that is sick with a fever, cough, or has trouble breathing should call their primary care physician before coming into our clinic.
