The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, a sacred turning point when darkness softens and light slowly begins its return.

The solstice invites us inward; into reflection, surrender, and trust.

Through sound and subtle energy work, we create space for clarity to arise organically, without force.

This is a night to honor what has been, release what no longer serves, and gently plant seeds for the year ahead.

Join us for a special Winter Solstice Kundalini + Sound Bath
experience, created to support deep rest, nervous system regulation, and inner awakening.

This evening is an invitation to slow down, release the weight of the year, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom within.

Rabbit Pose, Sasangasana, is a seated forward bend in yoga that involves deep spinal flexion (rounding). It is often practiced as a counter-pose to deep backbends like Camel Pose. Intentionally rounding the spine has several benefits, particularly in the realm of mobility, stretching, and specific strength exercises.

- Lengthens the Spine: The deep, rounded flexion provides a complete, maximum stretch to the entire spine, from the tailbone (coccyx) all the way up to the neck. This helps to create space between the vertebrae.

- Increases Spinal Mobility: Consistent practice can enhance the flexibility and elasticity of the spine, promoting better range of motion.

- Calms the Mind: As a forward fold and a mild inversion (where the head is below the heart), it promotes introspection and has a profoundly calming effect on the nervous system.

- Stimulates Glands: The compression of the throat area helps to stimulate the thyroid and parathyroid glands, which are responsible for regulating metabolism and calcium levels.

Feeling the tension melt away in this calming forward fold. Sasangasana is amazing for stretching your entire spine, releasing neck & shoulder tension, and bringing a sense of peace. Perfect for grounding yourself after a long day or counteracting those backbends!

Remember to register for class ahead of time. We will send you a notice directly if we cancel classes, saving you a trip.

Our online schedule is updated in real time when classes are cancelled. Be sure to check our website before making your trip. Especially if the weather looks a bit dicey.

We know that Monday feeling... the alarm goes off, the weekend is officially over, and your fitness goals can suddenly feel miles away.

But here’s the secret: The rest of your week is waiting to follow the example you set today.

A strong Monday sets the tone. It’s the "Day 1" that builds momentum. You don't need a record-breaking workout. You just need to show up for yourself.

👟 Your "Just Show Up" Toolkit

If you're struggling to get started, try one of these (or all of them!):

Set Yourself Up for Success: Don't let your brain talk you out of it. Have your yoga clothes laid out, your water bottle filled, and your mat ready to go. The less you have to think, the easier it is to do.

Focus on the "After" Feeling: Remember that incredible, energized, proud feeling you have when a class is done? That's what you're working for. Bottle that feeling and use it as your fuel.

We all have a tendency to think yoga is about being the most flexible or holding the toughest pose, but really yoga is all about the simple, profound act of showing up.

Your mat is a space for you; a place to breathe and connect, exactly as you are today. Every class you take is beneficial.

The Accumulative Effect: The real changes in strength, flexibility, and balance don't happen in one spectacular session; they happen through regular, consistent effort. By showing up, even if it's not your best day, you build on the work from the day before.

Every single time you step onto your mat, you are making a commitment to your well-being. That consistency, that dedication to yourself, is where the real magic happens. ✨

Begin with a single breath. Inhale slowly and feel the prana recharge you. Exhale fully and release the tension you didn’t know you were carrying. Repeat. This is not about getting it perfect. This is about coming back, again and again, to the body that holds you.

Let breath lead. Use a slow ratio, longer exhale than inhale, this will soothe the nervous system and cultivate steadiness. In this calm state of vigor, you work through each pose, step by step. As the sweat drips down your body and you feel the heat of the room, you remind yourself that you are strong, you can do this.

If you’re new, come curious. If you’re seasoned, come humble. The practice reshapes not by force but by fidelity; returning again and again to breath, to kindness, to the simple act of showing up. Your body remembers more than you think; your mind responds to the tenderness you offer it. Start with one breath and let the rest follow.
