The data doesn’t lie—and Diya is proving that consistency is the key to success! 📈✨
When Diya came in for her check-up, we pulled her iButton wear chart to see how she’s been doing. The report was incredible: an average of 21.5 hours of brace wear per day. That level of dedication is exactly why her recent out-of-brace X-ray showed her curve has moved from 35 degrees down to 29.5 degrees in just six months! 📉🙌
At National Scoliosis Center, the iButton allows us to:

Agnes is a true warrior. Managing syndromic scoliosis from Marfan Syndrome requires extra dedication, and Agnes is rising to the challenge.

If you’ve visited our Fairfax office recently for a brace measurement, you might have noticed some colorful new friends. Our measuring tools have been transformed into Toucans thanks to the incredible talent and imagination of our patient, Evangeline! 🎨

At NSC, we know that getting a brace is a big step. It’s patients like Evangeline who remind us that there’s always room for a little art and a lot of heart in the bracing process.

While we are so proud of London’s bracing success (see yesterday's post), it’s the relationships built in our Texas office that truly stand out.

On the day she received her Rigo Cheneau brace, London surprised her orthotist, Hope, with a thoughtful thank-you card and a nail kit. Her kindness left a lasting impression.

Hope Amador (London's Orthotist) also shared how much she appreciates London’s mom, whose positive energy and support have been key to London’s success. Great results happen when patients, parents, and clinicians work as a team.

Big wins from our Texas office! ✨

In just 5 months, London has achieved an incredible milestone: her curve moved from 40° to 15° out-of-brace. While our goal is always to halt progression, London’s journey proves that a 25-degree improvement is possible with the right technology, growth, and patient commitment.

Our Texas orthotist, Hope Amador, provided the custom-fabricated Rigo Cheneau brace, but London provided the secret ingredient: 100% compliance. We are so proud of your hard work, London! Keep shining. 📉➡️📈

Meet Walter, a 10-year-old superstar who is proof that commitment pays off! Walter first came to us at age 8 with curves over 30°. Today, he’s getting a brand-new brace for a very good reason—he has grown a whopping 9 inches since he started!

But the height isn't the only thing that’s changed. Because Walter has been so dedicated to his wear-time, we’ve been able to utilize that growth for growth-guided correction. Check out these numbers:

Initial Curve: 30°
Current Curves: Reduced to 22° and 16°! 📉

By staying out of the "surgical zone" and wearing his brace faithfully, Walter is literally growing straighter. We are so proud of his hard work and his family’s commitment to non-surgical treatment.
