Hess Plastic Surgery will close its doors on June 19, 2023. We share this news with heavy hearts and with deep appreciation for the patients who have entrusted us with their care throughout the past 19 years here in Fairfax. We are sincerely grateful for the confidence you have placed in us.

Dr. Hess will be moving to Florida, where he plans to practice at Premiere Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Tampa. The decision to close our doors was not an easy one, so please rest assured that it was made after careful consideration and with the best interest of our patients and our team at heart.

Cancer Survivor Month is an annual event that is very close to my heart. I am forever in awe of those who fought cancer and emerged as winners.

At Hess Plastic Surgery, we are proud to support survivors who have undergone a mastectomy, offering them breast reconstruction procedures. These procedures can restore the natural appearance of a patient's breasts and help them regain their confidence!

Generally, there are 3️⃣main breast reconstruction options:

💛 Breast implant, where a saline or silicone implant is used to mold a new breast shape.

💛 Tissue flap, where your own skin, fat, and muscle are used to reconstruct the breast through techniques such as the latissimus dorsi or TRAM flap procedure.

More specifically, I used a Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL) technique, which uses an oscillating cannula to reduce fat quickly and with less trauma than other liposuction options.
