Community Hospital - Fairfax is proud to announce a partnership with Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville and Dr. Lorraine Dodson to provide a gynecology specialty clinic and gynecological surgery services.

Colorectal Cancer is highly treatable and often curable when detected early.

Screen. Scope. Save lives.

Screening starts at the age of 45. People at high risk of colorectal cancer based on family or personal history or other factors may need to start screening before age 45.

As of today, the surgical department can schedule your colonoscopy within 3-4 weeks! Please call your primary care physician to get your colonoscopy ordered.

We've been focusing a lot on our youth the last few weeks, and last Thursday was no exception as Community Hospital - Fairfax hosted area High School Juniors for Atchison County Job Shadowing Day. The energy and enthusiasm these young people brought with them made it easy to share experiences and career opportunities available at CH-F.

Yesterday morning, CH-F welcomed over 50 students from around Atchison County as part of ACDC's 8th Grade Career Day. Dr. Burke explained how many people and careers support him each day to provide care for our patients. The students heard from various employees about career opportunities and visited the ER, Lab, Radiology, and Rehab Services.

Today, thirteen Community Hospital – Fairfax employees took the opportunity to share their passion with area high school sophomores at Tarkio Tech's Career Day.

CH-F CEO, Ann Schlueter, kicked off the day with a game of Go Fish during her keynote speech, emphasising finding a career path that marries aptitude with interest, and the importance of failing forward and hard work.

We are grateful to be able to encourage and invest in our area's young people, which is a key part of our mission at Community Hospital – Fairfax. That's Medicine – The way it was meant to be.
