We are sending a HUGE congratulations to our CommuniTEE Golf Benefit Raffle winners today!

Rex Bollinger of Rock Port was the winner of both the golf quilt donated by Kim Brake and Quilter's Boutique AND the Argosy Casino and Hotel Staycation package donated by Sarah Wehman.

The Sherlock Family of Rock Port won the Diamond Club Royals tickets and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at the ballpark yesterday! The Royals ticket package was donated by our CH-F Medical staff.

We are excited to introduce Dr. Marcie Shea. Dr. Shea is the board-certified Psychiatrist for our Senior Life Solutions program.

Community Hospital-Fairfax’s Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive group counseling program for individuals over age 65 and aims to provide assistance to people who are dealing with emotional or behavioral issues often related to aging.

Following an individual assessment, group participants meet three times per week in a supportive, encouraging setting. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a licensed social worker, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the emotional well-being of the seniors in our community.

This week, our staff participated in a two-day Advanced Cardiac Life Support course. The ACLS course builds on Basic Life Support (BLS) and involves hands-on training and simulation to teach our healthcare professionals skills in advanced airway management, ECG interpretation, and appropriate responses to various cardiac events.

The University of Missouri School Of Medicine Mobile Simulation Lab was provided to our staff and the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District free of charge for this training.

Community Hospital - Fairfax is thrilled to announce a partnership with Dr. John McClellan to bring an Orthopedic Nerve and Spine Specialty Clinic to our Community!

Dr. John McClellan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric and adult spinal surgery. He specializes in treating spinal conditions such as scoliosis, disk herniation, spinal tumors, and stress fractures in both children and adults. A Creighton University graduate, Dr. McClellan completed advanced spine training in England and Canada. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golf, hiking, hunting, reading, and photography.

Community Hospital - Fairfax was honored to accept a check on Friday evening at the Fairfax Fair for $83,000 from the Fairfax Kiwanis Club.

Last fall, the Kiwanis spearheaded a fundraising campaign in honor of CH-F's 75th Anniversary. The funds will go toward the expansions of the surgery department and the purchase of new surgical sterilization equipment to support our new Orthopedic program. Thank you to our generous community for supporting this campaign and investing in healthcare close to home!
