We’re expanding depression care at Fairfax Mental Health & Wellness.

We’re proud to introduce Spravato® (esketamine)—an FDA-approved treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression.

Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato works differently in the brain and may help some patients experience improvement more quickly. Treatment is provided in-office under the careful supervision of our clinical team.

Each session takes place in a private, thoughtfully designed treatment room—offering a calm, comfortable environment so patients can fully focus on their care.

At FMHW, we believe advanced treatment options should be delivered with both clinical excellence and an exceptional patient experience.

At Fairfax Mental Health and Wellness, our goal has always been to bring effective, evidence-based treatments to the Northern Virginia community. Fairfax Mental Health & Wellness is excited to announce our latest group therapy offering: a 6-week virtual parent group led by Dr. Megan Thomas, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, designed for parents of children ages 5–10.

This supportive group provides practical, evidence-based tools to help caregivers:
• Create more effective daily routines
• Strengthen parent-child connection and communication
• Support emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience at home and school

Dr. Thomas is a psychiatrist specializing in care for children, adolescents, and adults. He treats a wide range of mental-health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders.

Before entering medicine, Dr. Thomas served for over 15 years as a U.S. Navy SEAL 🇺🇸. His experiences supporting service members and their families inspired his dedication to psychiatry and compassionate, evidence-based mental-health care.

Dr. Thomas takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach, integrating medication management with psychotherapy and lifestyle principles to support long-term well-being.
