🦷 Case Highlight: Complex Jaw Fracture

An elderly patient experienced a fall that resulted in two jaw fractures. Because traditional wiring requires significant patient cooperation, Dr. Chu performed open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), using plates and screws to precisely stabilize the fractures.

Both areas were successfully aligned, and the patient’s bite was restored. A liquid diet was recommended during the healing period.

This case highlights the importance of tailoring surgical care to each patient for the best outcome.
