Hello! I'm Erin, a social work supervisee at Healthy Minds Therapy. I have immediate in-person (located in Fairfax, VA) and virtual openings, and I am welcoming new client referrals.

I work with children ages 2.5 and up, as well as teenagers and young adults. I use caring and evidence-based methods, including a play-based approach, with CBT and ACT, in a sensory- and neurodivergent-friendly space.

If you know someone seeking support and feels I could be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to comment or message me. To help clients feel comfortable and confident about starting therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so they can get a sense of whether I might be the right fit for their needs.

Erin specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults, with experience in Autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, developmental differences, and more. She uses a compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Erin offers in-person sessions in our soon-to-be-open Fairfax, VA office as well as telehealth support.

Feeling overwhelmed? Here are simple grounding techniques you can use anytime, anywhere to bring yourself back to the present moment and find calm:

✨ 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding: Notice 5 things you see, 4 you touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste.

✨ Box Breathing: Breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold — each for a count of four as you imagine tracing a square.

✨ Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Tense and relax muscles from your feet up to your face to release tension.

✨ Positive Thinking: Repeat affirmations like “I am enough just as I am” to boost your mindset.

✨ Name Your Surroundings: Quietly describe where you are and what’s around you to center your mind.

✨ Find a Rainbow: Look around and find an item for each color of the rainbow.

✨ Take a Water Break: Sip cold water slowly, holding it in your mouth before breathing through your nose.

✨ Describe an Object: Focus on an object nearby and note its color, shape, texture, and more.

✨Stretch: Move and stretch your body gently to release tension and reconnect with yourself.

Remember, these small moments can make a big difference. Take care of you 💛
