She earned a Master’s of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine after completing a four-year program at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. She has completed extensive clinical training at the ACTCM Community Clinic and California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Stroke Rehabilitation Center, where she treated patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions. Riena is known to have a gentle touch and a calm, compassionate presence, in addition to providing effective, individualized, holistic patient care. With an extensive background in psychology, Riena specializes in treating emotional imbalances, anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress, as well as pain management, preventative medicine, women’s health, and constitutional imbalances. In addition to her clinical practice in the Castro district of San Francisco, Riena volunteers at the Charlotte Maxwell Complimentary Clinic providing support to women living with cancer. Riena is a second-generation acupuncturist, and her path in the healing arts began in 2006, studying Traditional Thai massage in Thailand. Over the past decade, she has completed numerous holistic yoga trainings with renowned healer and teacher Saul David Raye. Riena also holds Master’s Degrees in both East-West Psychology and Asian Comparative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. These experiences have helped to shape Riena’s intuitive, nourishing, and deeply therapeutic approach towards healing through the numerous offerings of Chinese Medicine. Riena is continually inspired and humbled by the depth, scope, and beauty of Chinese Medicine. Her intention is to educate and empower her patients to re-align with the natural, radiant state of wellness, in an effort to achieve optimal health and balance: emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She truly enjoys and feel blessed to share this healing medicine with others.
