The difference in the new slim is a new ingredient called Xylooligosaccharide, also known as XOS, which is a prebiotic fiber that has many health benefits!

Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) is a prebiotic fiber that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Many different prebiotic fibers exist on the market, however XOS is different. All other prebiotics promote the growth of all bacteria in the gut: good and bad, but XOS selectively promotes the growth of only beneficial microflora, namely the Bifidobacterium strains and muciniphila.

As the number of beneficial flora increases, they can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria by competing with them for resources. These beneficial strains also lower the pH of the intestines to make it an inhospitable environment for harmful bacteria to live.

Improved gut micro flora has benefits for digestive, cardiovascular, and overall health, especially in improving occasional gastrointestinal disorders. XOS can be used to treat occasional constipation and diarrhea, and it's also used for the maintenance of metabolic health.
