Movember is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness for men’s health, shining a spotlight on both physical and mental well-being. Every November, men grow out their mustaches as a symbol of support and to spark conversations that might not otherwise happen  from prostate and testicular health to mental health and su***de prevention. The movement encourages men to take action by scheduling check-ups, talking openly about their health, and supporting one another, while also inviting communities to get involved through fundraising and advocacy.

It’s more than just facial hair — it’s about challenging stigma, promoting early detection, and creating a culture where men feel empowered to prioritize their health. This November, will you grow your ‘stache, start the conversation, and stand with men everywhere in taking care of their mind and body?

Gently hum a tune or hold a low “mmm” sound for 10–20 seconds.
The vibration activates your vagus nerve, slowing your heart rate and quieting your mind.

Humming may seem simple, but it’s a powerful way to support your nervous system. The vibrations stimulate the vagus nerve — a key part of your body’s “rest and digest” system — signaling safety and helping your body release tension. Try humming before bed, in the car, or after a stressful meeting.

Behind every person living with Alzheimer’s or any serious health condition, is someone quietly giving everything they have.
Caregivers often carry the weight of worry, exhaustion, and love all at once — holding families together while watching someone they care for slowly change.

This month, as we recognize National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, let’s not only raise awareness for those living with the disease, but also for those walking beside them.

Here are a few simple but meaningful ways to support a caregiver:
- Offer to bring a meal or run an errand.
-  Give them space to rest — even just an hour can help.
-  Check in without asking for updates — ask how they are doing.
-  Encourage them to seek respite and counseling when needed.
Because caring for the caregiver is just as important as caring for the one who is sick.

Sit or stand and gently sway side to side — slow, steady, and rhythmic. This motion helps regulate your vagus nerve, lowers stress hormones, and restores calm.
Rocking is one of the body’s natural ways to self-soothe — you’ll notice babies, animals, and even adults do it instinctively. This small, rhythmic movement helps regulate the nervous system and promotes safety and grounding. Use it anytime you feel anxious or overstimulated — it’s simple, subtle, and effective.

Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss — it’s a gradual change in how a person experiences the world.

It’s a progressive brain disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Over time, it can impact daily routines, decision-making, and even relationships. For families and caregivers, it can feel like losing pieces of someone you love — slowly and in moments.
While there is currently no cure, early detection can make a real difference. Recognizing symptoms early allows for better planning, medical support, and lifestyle adjustments that may help slow progression and improve quality of life.

But just as important as treatment is understanding. Alzheimer’s challenges not only the person diagnosed but everyone connected to them. Compassion, education, and patience are powerful tools in navigating this journey together.

This month, as we honor National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, let’s continue to spread awareness, support caregivers, and remember that behind every diagnosis is a story — one still worthy of dignity, love, and hope.

Change takes time, but it’s possible — even for things you’ve carried for years. With the right approach, therapy can help you break cycles and build healthier patterns.

When loss feels heavy, grounding in love can bring calm. Hold an object that reminds you of a loved one, notice its texture and weight, and let it anchor you in comfort. Love continues, even in grief.

💡 1 in 6 youth (ages 6–17) experience a mental health disorder each year. Su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death among kids ages 10–14. These numbers remind us how important it is to listen, support, and create safe environments for our young people. Together, we can advocate for resources in schools, encourage healthy conversations at home, and show our kids that they never have to struggle alone.
