Good morning,
My staff has been calling local offices to try to help patients find a new provider. Everyone is telling us they are a year out waiting list or not even taking a waiting list.

If you know of someone taking, please post here to help others. (Do not post negative comments or it will be removed, and you will be banned from the page.)

As well, last night I made the decision to do one day a week as tele visit appointments, cash only. To aid with care, I will only have limited availability so if you are interested in staying on cash only and tele visits only, please call the office asap. I made this decision as multiple patients inquired yesterday if I would consider this.
It will be self-scheduling via the patient portal after December 1st, and by emailing at aurora@aurorahealth4me.com

Again, I will only have limited availability so the panel will be small of patients that I can keep.

So, we have had to make a very difficult decision with these changing times, it is with a heavy heart that we must make the following announcement:

AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2025, WE WILL PERMANENTLY BE CLOSING OUR PRACTICE.

We want to thank our dedicated patients over the last 5 years, who have allowed us to take care of their medical needs. We will continue to see everyone as scheduled through the end of November. We will be offering same day Walkin acutes as well as our scheduled visits.

Upon closer we will be sure everyone has refills for a year upon your request, as well we will be monitoring our EMR for 6 months post closure to ensure all labs, x-rays, imaging etc. has been addressed as well as electronic refill requests.

Please request your records immediately if you choose to personally have a paper copy or electronic copy.

AFTER DECEMBER 1, 2025 WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING RECORD REQUESTS ELECTRONICALLY AND THEY WILL ONLY BE PROVIDED ELECTRONICALLY TO THE FACILITY OF YOUR CHOICE.

Due to the number of patients we have we are only allowing one copy of records per person.

Dear Aurora Healthcare patient,

It has come to our attention that some Anthem members are receiving communication from Anthem telling them that Dawn LeVasseur is leaving the network and informing them Anthem has changed their provider. Please rest assured that Dawn is an "in-network" provider for Anthem BCBS members and this communication and provider change is happening as the result of an Anthem system error.

We have requested they address this error, and unfortunately, they have informed us that they don't know why this is happening and our patients will need to change their provider back to Dawn by calling member services at the number on their card.

Though this is not our error and out of our control, we apologize for this inconvenience, and appreciate you trusting us with your healthcare.

Blue Cross Update:

We just got an update from Blue Cross, if you have an HMO or Medicare replacement HMO please be patient there is an error on the Members services side.

We are fully credentialled and they are in the process of resolving this issue.

If you received one of the letters changing your p*p please call Blue Cross in 48 hours and they will change it back to Dawn LeVasseur FNP

If you have any issues please call the office and we will assist you on a three way call with the insurance company.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, we will update further if needed.

Good morning Everyone,

We just were made aware of an issue with Blue Cross and Blue Shields HMO plans, that we are no longer able to be in network and that patients are automatically getting assigned new providers.

We are fully credentialled with Blue Cross and have been for 5 years.

We have received no correspondence from Blue Cross that anything was changing. We have a team diligently trying to find out what is going on. We will keep you informed as we get updates.

We are back in the office today and operational. However, our EMR sent out cancellation notices for appointments. This was in ERROR anyone that got a message, please disregard. Your appointments are still scheduled. The EMR administrator assures us this won't happen again as the issues has been identified and fixed.

ATTENTION:

Due to a sewer issue with the town sewer line, we are unable to use the building tomorrow April 7th. We will be working remotely to check voicemails.

If you have a visit scheduled for tomorrow April 7th staff will be reaching out to you to change your visit to a tele visit if appropriate visit type, if you have an annual or wellchild visit we will be rescheduling you to later in the week.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We will let everyone know if this progresses to other days of the week.
