On August 1st, we will be proud and humbled to be the new owners of Summit Pharmacy.
Our names are Erin and Woody Orne, and like so many of you, we’ve long admired Summit Pharmacy for its personal care, trusted team, and deep connection to the Fairfield community. We’re not here to change what makes Summit special — we’re here to protect and strengthen it.
You’ll continue to see the same friendly faces behind the counter, receive the same high level of service, and experience the same attention to detail that’s built Summit’s reputation over the years. We’re working closely with Bryan, his family, and the incredible team to ensure a seamless transition for everyone.
Most importantly, we’re excited for the opportunity to fully restore access for all patients — including those who rely on Medicaid — so that Summit can continue caring for everyone in our community.

Here’s what you can expect in the weeks ahead:
👩⚕️👨⚕️ Your Summit Team:
We’re incredibly grateful to be working alongside such a wonderful and caring staff. Tom, Jessica, Susan, Téa, Britney, Jamie, and Grace are all excited to continue providing the highest level of care possible. The only change? As we restore the ability to serve a larger part of the community, we’ll be expanding this exceptional group with new technicians and pharmacists as needed — all to make sure Summit remains a place of personal, compassionate care.
💊 If you haven’t experienced insurance-related issues recently:
There will be no interruptions to your care. Your prescriptions will continue to be filled as usual, and we’re so grateful for your continued support.
🔹 If you are a Medicaid patient:
Our goal is to begin filling your prescriptions by the end of the week starting August 4th. There’s a chance this may take a few days, and we truly appreciate your flexibility. As soon as we’re cleared to begin, we’ll notify you immediately. We’re eager for the opportunity to serve you again.
💊 If you require controlled substances:
As new owners, we must apply for and receive a new DEA license. This process typically takes 60–90 days. While we understand this delay is frustrating, we’re committed to taking the proper, careful steps to ensure safe, compliant care for the long term benefit of everyone in our community. Thank you for your patience and trust.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be entrusted with this responsibility, and we’re excited to serve you with the same heart and dedication you’ve come to expect from Bryan, Hannah, and the Summit family.
Please don’t hesitate to stop in, say hello, or reach out — we’re here, and we’re listening.
With gratitude,
Erin & Woody Orne
