🩸 January is National Blood Donor Month 🩸

January has been designated as National Blood Donor Month to encourage people to give or pledge to give blood at least two or more times a year. Blood is often in short supply during the winter months especially January due to holidays travel weather and illness.

When fewer donors are able to give blood shortages can occur across the country. If you are able your donation can help, ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients who need it.

❤️ Thank you to our blood donors for making a difference.

🧤🧣 Winter Clothing Drive 🧣🧤

As winter settles in, the JCHC Community Team is coming together to help keep our neighbors warm. From December 29 through January 16, we are collecting warm clothing, coats, and blankets to benefit those in need in our community. All donated items will be distributed to the African Violet Foundation and the JCHC Community Closet, located on the north end of our main lobby.

We invite you to donate new or gently used, clean items such as coats, sweaters, blankets, hats, gloves, scarves, and warm winter clothing. Additional helpful items include new underwear, as well as new or gently used socks and shoes—small comforts that can make a big difference during the colder months.

Donation tubs are available at the Emergency Room entrance and the Main Entrance. Thank you for helping us share warmth, care, and kindness throughout our community this winter. 🧡

This holiday season, the generosity and compassion of our JCHC team and community truly shined. 🧡

Through our Mitten Trees, we were able to purchase gifts for 44 children from 20 families, helping bring comfort, smiles, and a little extra joy during the holidays. We also partnered with Parkview Care Center through our Silver Bells program to provide 26 senior residents with thoughtful gifts, reminding them they are remembered and cared for.

Thank you to everyone who donated, organized, and helped deliver these gifts. Your kindness made a lasting impact and reflects the heart of our community.
