🩺 Type 1 Diabetes – It’s Not Just for Kids

Many people think Type 1 diabetes only happens in childhood—but the truth is, it can develop at any age. Type 1 is an autoimmune condition, not caused by diet or lifestyle, and it happens when the body’s immune system attacks the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Without insulin, the body can’t regulate blood sugar on its own—meaning people with Type 1 need to take insulin regularly to stay healthy.
