Caregiving is the greatest art of love.

Once upon a time, there was an ER nurse named Fabiola. Every time a geriatric patient came into the ER where she worked, it would remind her of her late great grandmother; a very GIVING, KIND and GENEROUS lady who could make anything better just by the way she would talk and care for any one she met.

The interesting thing is that when you meet Fabiola, you would soon feel like you and her are family members so you can imagine how those patient fell in love with her compassionate care.

She took those great experiences and turned it into a business which she called SAMEDAY CAREGIVERS.

She helps geriatric patients get home from the hospital, stay out of the emergency room, get better faster and to enjoy full lives no matter the life limiting condition written on their medical charts.

Fabiola has launched a great new department called ASSISTED LIVING IN THE HOME.

This department has a new position for an experience caregiver, PCT, MA or lead caregiver. The position has 3 parts; middle management, home caregiving and customer service.

It’s a full-time position with nice pay plus benefits.

Several years ago, two people took a caregiving job and they loved what they did to a point where, they could do the job for FREE if they did not have bills to pay.

One of them has the mind of a scientist and she got interested in the human body and that pushed her to become a nurse.

After years of working in almost all branches of nursing including ICU and geriatrics, she decided to go back to school for her master's degree. Today, she is a very excellent and experienced NURSE PRACTITIONER.

Our clients are retired seniors who need a little assistance in the place that they have called home for a long time. In other words, they do not want to move into a nursing home, they want to age in place.

We are looking to grow our team because we are adding new clients and that is where you come in. We are looking for 2 caregivers who can split a case in New Canaan as well as someone that can start as hourly but if a good fit can turn into a 24-hour live-in.

The case is for a retired executive active gentleman recently in his 90s. He is very active in his community and he is independent with his ADLs. He walks freely without any device. He is continent. What he needs is a very nice, caring, reliable, and trustworthy caregiver for companionship, mental / intellectual stimulation, healthy meals preparation, and occasionally accompany him to doctor's appointment or errands. Would prefer mature female caregivers in their mid 40s and up with experience and whom can follow directions. You do not need a car for this job, but you need a driver license and good driving records.

Client is a very kind, mindful, sweet gentleman with professional children who live near by but are very busy during the week so they need caregivers from Monday through Friday while they work in addition to weekend coverage. But again will consider transitioning the right candidate from hourly to 24-hour live-in. The caregiver will have her own big nice bedroom and bathroom.

THE SHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY 6AM-6PM. The hours are not fully set yet but the shifts are 12 hours. With the exception of the 24-hour live-in.

Currently for the 12-hour shift, hourly pay is as follows:
MA $20 TO $23 per hour;
LPN $25 to $30 per hour.
