As Respiratory Care Week wraps up, we recognize our exceptional Respiratory Therapists and their dedication to NJRA’s mission. Here are some snippets of what they value most about their roles and their commitment to patient care!
Patricia Davis, Director in Westfield, NJ: “I love being an RT working on a vent unit, weaning patients off their vents, working to have their trachs removed and finally watching some of these patients walk out of our buildings. I have many great memories and I stay in touch with many of our patients and their families.”
Charone Morman, Director in Towson, MD: “The ability to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents is incredibly fulfilling. Each day, I am reminded of the importance of our work as I witness the resilience and strength of those we care for. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with our residents. In a long-term care setting, we have the privilege of getting to know each individual on a personal level. This continuity of care allows us to tailor our treatments to meet their unique needs and preferences, fostering a sense of trust and comfort.”
Patrick Drummond, Respiratory Therapist in Pennsylvania: “NJRA gives me the opportunity to enhance the experiences of residences and nursing staff by elevating respiratory care with compassion and empathy. I get to validate the respiratory needs at each facility I walk into and bring clarity to residents and staff – and a sense of fulfillment for my work.”
Thank you to each of our Respiratory Therapists for their expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence.
