We had the best time celebrating out on the patio with our four-legged friends. Residents enjoyed pup cups, music, and a fun scavenger hunt. We even made homemade dog treats—officially pup-approved! 🐶💛

Today we took a journey across the pond—without even leaving our chairs! Our Armchair Travel to Germany was a hit as we enjoyed authentic German foods and shared a delicious meal together, just like they do in Deutschland. From warm boiled eggs and fresh rolls to meats, cheeses, and fruit—it was a true taste of German tradition. Danke schön for joining us!

We tried something new today—junk journaling! ✂️📚 It’s a creative twist on scrapbooking, and our residents really enjoyed diving in. As we explored this new activity, creativity flowed and each page became a unique reflection of its creator!

⭐️⭐️Today, we had the joy of fulfilling a Tree of Dreams wish for our dear Miss Alice.
She shared with us that growing up in an all-girls school meant she never had the chance to learn how to dance. When school dances came around, they were allowed to participate—but none of the girls knew how to dance, so the moment slipped by.

It’s been a lifelong dream of hers to finally learn any kind of dance, and today, that dream came true.

With the help of Miss Lisa, who gave her a private lesson, and a few cheerful friends who joined in, Miss Alice swayed and stepped to beautiful exotic music with a smile that lit up the whole room.

A magical moment, decades in the making. 💃🌟

Anna often dreamed of returning to her homeland of Germany. The Good Tree team saw how deeply she was connected to her German roots, so they decided to bring a piece of Germany to her. They prepared goulash and other traditional German dishes, creating a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and nostalgia. Residents and staff gathered to celebrate Anna’s heritage, sharing stories and learning more about German customs.

It was a big week for Billy, a resident of The Waterford at Mesquite. In honor of Father’s Day, the local mayor visited the community to recognize Billy as the oldest father living in Mesquite! Just a few days later, Billy celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. The celebration was filled with laughter and plenty of birthday cake. Billy’s milestone serves as an inspiration to everyone in the community.

John, a Magnolia Trails resident at Georgetowne Place, grew up on a farm and spent his childhood driving tractors and milking cows. He often shared these fond memories, so the team knew exactly what would make the perfect Tree of Dreams by bringing him back to the farm! The Waterford at Round Rock worked with resident Becky’s daughter to give her the surprise of a lifetime by restoring their family car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. Filled with memories of family vacations and drives with her late husband, Becky’s eyes filled with tears. The moment she saw the fully restored Mustang, she was overcome with emotion and gratitude. What a beautiful gift and a reminder of cherished memories!

The Waterford at Fairfield offers Independent Living to seniors who want an easier way of life. Our community has Studio, One Bedroom and Two Bedroom Apartments to choose from. Included in your monthly rent are two meals daily, weekly housekeeping and linen service, utilities, scheduled transportation and Dr. Visits. Along with that you will be able to participate in daily activities, enjoy all the benefits of living at Village Greene, but most of all, you will be able to have neighbors, socialize and make new friends.
