Earlier this month, we had the honor of installing our first Community AED and Stop the Bleed kit in an area we identified as having a critical need. Along with installing these life-saving tools, we also provided hands-on training for local businesses and community members so they feel confident responding in an emergency.

This project is all about empowering our community to act when seconds matter most.

We are incredibly grateful for the strong partnerships that helped make this event such a success. A huge thank you to Solano County EMS, Suisun Fire Protection District, and Gordon Valley Fire Department for their collaboration and continued commitment to community safety.

Together, we are building a safer, stronger community.

Did you know that falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospital visits for seniors? The good news is most can be prevented. This National Fall Prevention Week, we’re proud to introduce the Medic Keep the Beat Foundation, a nonprofit initiative of Medic Ambulance Service dedicated to safer homes and stronger communities.

The Foundation offers two key programs:
Fall Prevention Program – in-home safety assessments, practical tips, and resources to help seniors stay safe and independent. Recently recognized with the Community Impact Program Award at the 2025 CAASE Awards.

AED Donation & Training Program – lifesaving equipment and education to ensure communities are prepared to respond in emergencies.

Because peace of mind and safer homes aren’t just possible—they’re within reach.

Blankets and stuffed animals are cute, but to keep your baby as safe as possible, all they need in their crib is a firm mattress and a fitted sheet. The best way to maintain a safe sleep environment is to remember the ABCs of Safe Sleep! Alone, on their back, in a crib whether it's naptime or bedtime.

It's ! Splashing around in the water is part of summer fun! Before you head to the pool, the beach, or the lake, make sure kids learn these five water survival skills:

💧 Step or jump into water over their head and return to the surface.
🛟 Turn around in the water and orient to safety.
🌊 Float or tread water.
🏊‍♂️ Combine breathing with forward movement in the water.
🏖️ Exit the water.
