Exercise is powerful medicine, especially during and after cancer treatment.

New research from the New England Journal of Medicine shows that cancer patients who followed a structured, personalized exercise program for three years saw a 37% improvement in survival rates and a 28% decrease in recurrence compared to those receiving standard care.

At TherapySouth, we believe exercise is an essential part of oncology care. Our physical therapists work with you to create an individualized plan to restore strength, function, and quality of life after cancer treatment.

Meet our clinic director - Garrett Pitts, PT, DPT! 👋

Garrett earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Alabama State University in 2017 and has been practicing physical therapy in his hometown of Fairhope since then. Garrett played D1 baseball at Troy University, is a former CrossFit athlete and has 20 years of experience in Olympic weightlifting.

In the clinic, Garrett enjoys treating general orthopedics, geriatrics, neurological pathologies, and sports injuries. He loves to spend time with his wife, Geena, who specializes in nutrition, sport’s performance, and personal training.

Outside of work, Garrett coaches varsity baseball for Bayside Academy and enjoys practicing Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.
