I couldn't think of anything I wanted more for my birthday than a fishing tournament with my parents! After a horrible storm early this morning and dodging rain for the first half we actually had a great day of fishing! AND... my mom won 1st place for slot redfish! 🐟 β˜€οΈ 🎣 🚀 βš“οΈ

After a PERFECT day of fishing it didn't hurt to finish it off with 2nd place for flounder!

Fishing is an absolute love of mine, one that was passed down from generations. I am thankful this tradition was handed down and I am forever grateful that truly taking it all in was the main focus. Pay attention to where we live, take care of it, look close and take note of how beautiful these fish are, don't waste these carefully made creatures and above all thank God for all of the above.

Fish River/Marlow Fire & Rescue donated the retired fire hose that was used in making a flag for Fairhope's 9/11 ceremony. Jesse Eddy (Fairhope VFD) and I presented the flag at the ceremony and it planned to be displayed in Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department's newest station. It was a pleasure working with you, Jesse!

Kimberly Spratlin and Jesse Eddy created a flag out of old fire hose. The flag will be proudly displayed at the new Fire Station.

This past week was dedicated to some side projects not focused on my concentration but instead giving to those who deserve it. This 18"x24" watercolor of a Fairhope pier sunset was dedicated to The George Clayton Childhood Cancer Foundation. It depicts George and his duck Maynard enjoying a GOLDEN sunset to shine a light on childhood cancer throughout the month of September.
