Hi, I’m Giovanna, owner of Rogue Awakening, and I recently hit my 250th class.
That number might catch some people off guard. Considering we’ve been open for five years, it might even seem low. But for others, it might feel familiar — or like a distant, almost impossible milestone.
Because the truth is, it’s hard to fit in workouts. It’s intimidating to show up for group fitness. And it’s even harder to start over when you don’t feel like yourself anymore.
I used to be able to crank out decline push-ups with ease. Then I had my daughter, life shifted, and I lost a lot of strength — physically and emotionally. At one point, I could barely do an incline push-up.
It’s hard to backtrack — especially when you’ve felt strong before.
But wellness isn’t linear.
Sometimes we fall off. Sometimes we overindulge. Sometimes we’re just trying to keep our heads above water.
But here’s what I want you to know: You are not alone.
If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, feeling like everyone else is ahead of you — I promise you, they’re not. Most people are just like you: figuring it out one class at a time, one day at a time.
Almost two years after having my daughter, I finally did a single push-up again. Just one. Now I can do ten. I’m not where I was — but I’m proud of where I am.
And honestly? The biggest wins weren’t in the mirror. They were in my mindset — my energy, my confidence, and my ability to be patient with myself again.
Every day, I make the choice to keep showing up, even if it’s imperfect. And when you’re ready to make that choice, this community will be here for you too. I am here for you.
So if today all you do is sign up for a class and walk through the door, that counts. You could literally sit the entire time, taking in the vibes.
You don’t have to crush it. You just have to start.
