Last week our Mannington office performed preseason/injury prevention screenings with the North Marion High School Track Team. We assessed flexibility, core & LE strength, functional movement patterns, and gait/running patterns. The athletes were then given corrective exercises. This group of young ladies & young men were a wonderful & attentive group! Coach Jeff Crane even got into the action a little bit!!! We wish the Husky track teams a successful & healthy season!

Another MSPT/FSPT success story! Paytyn Neal arrived at our Mannington office in May of 2024 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Paytyn suffered the knee injury while competing as part of the Acrobatics & Tumbling Team at Gannon University. Paytyn was treated by physical therapist Chris Moore and Ashley Harbert PTA. Chris is a Board Certified Specialist in both orthopedics and sports. Treatment initially focused on restoring knee mobility and eliminating swelling. The treatment then progressed to more aggressive leg strengthening and then to sport-specific exercises that included jumping and plyometric exercises. Paytyn was extremely dedicated & worked tirelessly to return to the sport she loves. She will officially return to competition with her Acro & Tumbling team this weekend! Congratulations Paytyn on your recovery & we wish you a successful and healthy 2025 season!!

Another Mountain State success story!!!
Brooklyn Jackson ended her basketball season last year in a bad way. She suffered a dislocated patella(kneecap) with only a few minutes to play in the last game of the season. Brooklyn underwent surgery in April to stabilize her patella & to prevent the dislocation from occurring again. She then began physical therapy at our Mannington office with Board-Certified Orthopedic & Sports Specialist Chris Moore and PTA’s Ashley Harbert & Shawna Huggins. Brooklyn had to fight through the first few months to regain her knee mobility and ROM. She eventually progressed to strengthening & then to running, hopping, & sports-specific activities. Brooklyn was released by her surgeon a few weeks ago. She has since been discharged from PT and resumed full participation in basketball practice. Congratulations to Brooklyn on her full recovery & the hard work she put in over the last 6 months!! We hope you have an enjoyable & successful basketball season!!👏👏👏
