Pumpkin spice and apple pie scented everything might be alluring, but make sure all your fall smells aren’t coming from artificial fragrances. 😉

Here’s why 👇

❌ Candles, room sprays/air fresheners, plug-ins, perfumes, etc. are LOADED with chemicals that have been shown to disrupt your endocrine system (some ingredients in artificial fragrance can mimic the natural hormone estrogen), irritate your lungs/exacerbate asthma/allergies, cause skin irritations, trigger headaches and migraines. [SOURCES BELOW].

With that being said, I understand the love of amazing scents- they’re powerful in a lot of GOOD ways, too!

🍊 If you still want to have the lovely smells of fall without the accompanying headache and more, then try diffusing clove, cinnamon bark, orange, etc. (but a little goes a long way- even “natural” fragrances like essential oils can cause allergic reactions and headaches)

🍦 If you don’t have oils on hand and you’re at home, you can put a few drops of vanilla extract and even a cinnamon stick or whole cloves in an oven-safe dish with water and turn your oven on low. Your whole house will smell like you’re baking cookies! (Just don’t forget to turn it off!)

When is sticking needles in your body a GOOD thing?

➡️ Acupuncture uses tiny, disposable, sterile needles placed gently into specific acupuncture points. It’s one of the oldest tried and true techniques that’s been around for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

➡️ The body is made of meridians, which allow your energy to flow. Think of meridians like rivers inside the body. Each meridian is connected to specific organs and glands. The meridians are the body’s healing energy pathways, and the acupuncture points lie along them.

➡️ Our tiny needles stimulate blood flow along these meridians at specific acupuncture points. This is where we can most effectively release the resulting tension, numbness, or pain.
