**CORRECTION: this event occurred at South Avenue & Averill Avenue**

This afternoon, one of our ambulances was involved in a collision near the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Averill Avenue in the City of Rochester. The crew was returning from a call; there was no patient aboard at the time of the incident.

One person was injured and transported to a hospital for further evaluation and the investigation is continuing. Due to patient privacy laws, we are unable to comment further on the identity or nature of injuries sustained during this event.

This incident will not impact our service to the community, and we wish to thank American Medical Response Rochester, NY the Rochester Fire Department and City of Rochester Police Department for their quick response and assistance.
