What an honor to be a part of this campaign! 💜

We're thrilled to launch Doulas Are for Every Body, a bold new campaign reminding us that every body deserves compassionate, culturally grounded care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With support from Elevance Health Foundation, the campaign is currently being tested in Rochester, NY, where local doulas and community partners are leading the way.

This effort is part of our larger mission to shift the story around birth work, elevate Black, Brown, and Indigenous doulas, and show that community-based doulas belong on every care team. In what doctors in Los Angeles are calling a "medical miracle," a mother gave birth to a baby boy shortly after discovering she was pregnant — while preparing to have a 22-pound ovarian tumor removed.

Suze Lopez discovered she was pregnant earlier this year after taking a required routine pregnancy test before her scheduled surgery to remove a 22-pound ovarian cyst, according to the hospital.

Lopez, who is a nurse in Bakersfield, California, had dealt with the growing cyst for years.
