ss. NEO- AVA Goals:
To promote and encourage active membership to the international organization of AVA, the Association of Vascular Access. To provide meetings to include vascular access experts as guest speakers including but not limited to experts in infectious disease, pharmacology, and vascular access. To encourage mandatory vascular access education for staff development, nursing school curriculum, physician residency programs, and other disciplines involved in performance and decision making stressing the right line for the right patient at the right time along with strategies to prevent and treat complications. To review, analyze, and utilize evidence-based data to update best practice guidelines as well as promote research projects in vascular access. To provide an all-day, continuing education conference approximately every 2 – 3 years on current topics using experts in vascular access and professional development.
