Sometimes we need to “hold” to move better.
One way to repair and strengthen muscles (especially if just starting) is isometric holds.

This allows you to strengthen areas without worrying about joint pain. Have random knee pain that seems to come from nowhere?

Fix that issue and you might start enjoying your favorite activities again

Your annual reminder that it’s not always just what you eat, but the amount you eat.

Want to have some ice cream with the family? Go ahead! But maybe choose the smaller size or get a small cone. Especially if you’re trying to reach a health goal.

It can be the difference between an enjoyable guilt-free treat with the kiddos or a sugary crash of regret with enough calories for several meals! 😬

Feel good about your choices physical and psychologically!

Summer is when the most people lose their routine. Sadly, this includes their health habits.
Instead of trying to keep the same discipline or letting it all go, build some “bare minimums” to follow this summer.

Thankfully, maintaining is easier than building. Don’t let go of all the hard work you put in.

Get out of the mindset of just “burning calories” during your workout. Get stronger, build better mobility and balance.
And get better week after week!

If you’re trying to lift a personal best, run a PR, or transform your body, you need to eat.

Fueling your body with the right nutrients is the only way to reach your goals.

How does the food you eat make you feel?
Strong and energized ⬆️ or weak and tired? ⬇️

Stick mostly to whole, minimally processed foods.
And really note how your body feels after meals. It will slowly start to guide you to better choices.

Go hard, but then stop due to injury or burnout?
Working out can be simple, but there are a few little things that can make a big difference.

If you are consistent with your workouts, scheduling a light week to let your body recover can produce great results in your performance and physique.

We must challenge the body, but we also need to recover from the work to build!

Instead of saying “when I lose 10lbs, I will…”
Rephrase to “when I hit all my scheduled workouts, I will…”.

Reward your consistent action, not the result you are looking for.

The cliche’ saying is fall in love with the process, but it is really true when it comes to your health.

There is no finish line!

Each workout is a building block toward your goals. Thinking short-term will only lead to frustration, injuries, and probably quitting.

Proper training is progressive and challenging, but doesn’t require you to be exhausted after every workout.

Get stronger and don’t worry about how many calories you burn in one specific workout.

This works better in the long run mentally and physically.
