Happy Mother’s Day to all who have loved and helped raise children whether they were born to you or brought to you by other means. Being a Mother is the most important job assigned to us. God entrust us with His child for such a short time. I am so thankful for the three blessings He gave me to raise and the wonderful Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmothers and Aunts He provided in my life who all helped to raise and influence who I am today.

Just want to give everyone an update on my Moma, Brenda Shea. She is having some pretty good days. Granted our definition of “good days” has changed. Currently it means she will eat a few bites a day and drink a few sips every 15-30 minutes to combat dehydration and she isn’t in pain. For these things we are thankful!! Please keep her in your prayers! I continue to be out of the office at this time so that I can help with her care.

I am sorry for any inconvenience but I will not be in the office this week because of a family health issue. For those who know my Mother, Brenda Shea, I am asking for prayers for her and our family in the days and weeks to come. Thank you and may God bless each of you!

As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Tippah County, we at Family Clinic of Falkner want to protect our patients and our staff while continuing to provide quality care to each of you. In order to do so, we are asking each of our patients to do the following:

1. Patients 60 years or older, patients with chronic health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and patients with cancer or with a compromised immune system (such as with Rheumatoid Arthritis or Lupus, recent surgery, etc) need to avoid coming into the office at this time for a routine visit. If you need a refill on your current routine medications, please call the office at 662-512-0139 and we will gladly take care of this for you over the phone.
2. If you are an established patient and you are having a health issue that is requiring an office visit, we are asking you to call the office when you arrive, 662-512-0139, we will sign you in and take note of your symptoms. We will ask that you wait in your car until time for you to go directly to a room. We may also offer flu and strep testing while you wait in your car.
3. If you are a new patient, you will also need to call 662-512-0139 upon arrival. You will be asked to wait in your car until you can go directly to a room. We will work to get everyone in as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us during this time.
4. We are asking that all patients limit visitors while they are being seen in the office to no more than one person & NO ONE WILL BE WAITING IN THE LOBBY!! This is a very unusual/trying time we are facing and it is very important that we follow the guidelines and limit all exposure to our friends and family so that we can get our lives back to normal as soon as possible.
5. To help limit exposure and stop the spread of the virus and flatten the curve:
a. Wash your hands,
b. Keep your hands to yourself and away from your face and last but not least
c. PRAY for our Nation, our Leaders and each of US as we face the days ahead.

As 2019 comes to a close this week, I hope we can reflect on the year and focus on the positive things that have happened for each of us and less on the negative things! Prayers for comfort to the friends and families who have lost loved ones. Congratulations to the ones who have gained new loved ones in their lives. It is how the Circle of Life continues and we each go through the process. Remember your friends and neighbors who may not have as many family members or friends as you to check on them or even say a kind word to them. Just a thought.... Love to all!

Garth Brook’s song “Unanswered Prayers” reminds me that just because I don’t receive what I pray for doesn’t mean God isn’t listening to my prayers. He knows what I need and it isn’t always what I think it may be or at the time I think I need it. Sometimes our prayers are answered in ways we never dreamed possible and we receive a better blessing than we ever desired. Never stop praying to the One who never stops listening for our voice. He is the Reason for this Season!! Merry Christmas & Love to all of you!!
