Morgan County Schools is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and families. The attached flu prevention flyer outlines critical steps we all must take to minimize the spread of influenza within our schools.

Following guidance from the CDC and the Alabama Department of Public Health, we emphasize:

Understanding how the flu spreads (via droplets and surfaces)
Practicing proven prevention strategies (vaccination, handwashing, respiratory etiquette, and surface disinfection)
Keeping ill children home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication
By working together and following these measures, we can reduce illness, protect our school community, and ensure students are able to learn in a healthy environment.

Good Morning,

With the cold weather in tow, our FES babies are getting chapped lips with us being an outdoor campus. I would love to have chapstick in our care closet for those who may have a need.

If you would like to donate/send chapstick, we would greatly appreciate it!!
Send it in a labeled baggie with Nurse Kelsey on it and I will get it to the correct place!

Please feel free to bring medications and completed Parent/Provider Authorization forms to the open house. I will be available to accept those and if you have any questions!

No medication will be accepted without the proper forms and a prescription bottle. Please email me at kdcrow@morgank12.org for the form if you need it for your child/children’s doctor’s office.

All over the counter medications require this form as well!

Good Morning,

Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th graders will have their Vision Research vision screener tomorrow.
There is no charge for this screening and is provided to all public schools through the state Department of Education.

I’m starting on my last container of soft peppermints. If you would like to donate some I would greatly appreciate it! Just please make sure they are the soft ones ♥️

There’s magic in soft peppermints here at FES! They ease tummy aches, headaches, sore throats, and sometimes they give a child the opportunity to walk to see me and give them a moment to themselves! (Come on, we all know we need quiet moments to ourselves sometimes)
