🚫 Know before you throw!

Here's another one of your favorite recycling updates!

The City of Fall River reminds residents:
❌ No plastic bags
❌ No textiles
❌ No hazardous waste
❌ No “tanglers” (wires, hoses, chains, electronics)
❌ No food or liquid

Keeping these items out of your recycling bin helps prevent contamination and keeps the system running smoothly. ♻️ Let’s do our part to keep Fall River clean and green!

Did you know colorectal cancer often develops without noticeable symptoms in its early stages?

That’s why screening is so important. For most adults, screening should begin at age 45, or earlier if you have certain risk factors.

Understanding your screening options is the first step toward protecting your health.

The USDA has announced that with their expansion of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) work requirements and more restrictive eligibility hurdles, nationally, over two million people will lose their access to SNAP. The current presidential administration says it will cut SNAP by $186 billion in the next ten years. Stand with us as we urge all federal lawmakers to reject cuts to SNAP, including the addition of work requirements for SNAP recipients.

Right now, the U.S. is on track to spend $1 trillion on 'national defense' in 2026 -- one thousand times more than the $1 billion it would cost to ensure that all 42 million people who need SNAP to eat in this country would have access to the food they need to be healthy.

Thank you to our friends at Nonviolent Medicaid Army and artist for this beautiful graphic.
