Check out the new changes to the AU and the future bands’
!

Hello AU Members!

We hope all of you have had a great week so far; we are almost at the weekend, and looking forward to it! Today, we have a big announcement to make: the AU has joined the International Colombophile Federation (FCI)!

The FCI is an international non-profit organization comprising 74 member federations from across the world. As part of the organization, the FCI has their own pigeon bands to denote FCI member pigeons, which also allow them to race in international FCI races.

As new members ourselves, we will be modifying our AU pigeon bands to denote the change, and things will look a little different moving forward. Here is some additional information about the change, and the bands themselves:

1. 2026 AU stock bands will be blue with an FCI logo

2. 2026 AU personalized bands will be red without an FCI logo (unless you paid for a color change, you will still get what color you paid for!)

3. Starting in 2027, all bands will have an FCI logo on them UNLESS you pay a color change fee in which case, they will not have an FCI logo on them

4. Having the FCI logo means the pigeon can participate in FCI events

5. All bands will be AU bands, FCI logo or not

This change is not designed to interfere with AU activities, and we would be happy to answer any questions regarding the changes surrounding the new bands. Finally, 2025 ARPU Stock Bands are still available and in stock. They are .45 cents each and you can purchase them in increments of 5, plus shipping. Going for the long distance average speed

Congrats to Dave Kij. With a super 4yo hen 22.46 min ahead of 2nd place winning our club, combine and first 300 mile open race of the season!

-The New England Open is made up of at least Southern New England Combine and Boston Concourse Combine.

This race had 64 lofts and 774 birds from all over the North East.
