Rest assured, your CPAP will work safely without water in the chamber! However, these tips should be helpful to our patients affected by this!

Does your tub run out of water? Here's what you need to know. First, rest assured that your machine will continue to work safely without water, it just won’t provide humidification. Water consumption varies based on environmental conditions and your machine settings. Here are some factors to check:
1. Is the mask leaking? This is a common cause for excessive water consumption.
2. Set your humidifier to manual mode and a lower setting, and see if it’s still comfortable.
3. Increase the humidity of your room to improve the ambient humidity.
If after trying these tips, your machine is still consuming excessive amounts of water, consult with your doctor or equipment provider to check if adjustments are needed to your settings or equipment.

The MyAir app is a great tool to keep you engaged in your therapy. We highly recommend it for patients new to pap or who’ve been on therapy for many years! The app gives you great feedback and tailors its tips/tricks based off how experienced of a user you are! Whether you are new or old…I mean experienced, with PAP, we suggest you download it and give it a try!!!
