This year, HealthFirst’s Security & Public Safety Department reached an extraordinary milestone: becoming a State-Certified Public Safety agency through the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee, the Massachusetts POST Commission, and the Massachusetts State Police Certification Unit.

This recognition is the result of a rigorous two-year process that involves extensive training, testing, and adherence to strict regulatory standards. HealthFirst is now one of only eight healthcare organizations statewide to achieve this status and the ONLY community health center to do so.

Across our community, more children and adolescents are experiencing anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health challenges — and access to timely, age-appropriate care is more important than ever.
We are grateful to share that the Manton Foundation has awarded $100,000 over two-years to support the expansion of pediatric and adolescent behavioral health services at HealthFirst. This investment will help us strengthen access to care with a dedicated pediatric/adolescent behavioral health therapist to serve young people and families in our community.
