We are so proud to share that one of our residents, Jackie Heyneman, was honored as Senior of the Month by the Center for Senior Wellbeing!

Jackie brings so much heart to our community. She has a real talent for gardening, and her creativity really shows during Scarecrow Days. She is also part of our drama club and faithfully attends rehearsals, supporting the group in every way.

This recognition is so well deserved and we are truly lucky to have her here at Silvergate!

Easter Sunday was a special day here at Silvergate. The Easter Bunny made visits throughout the community, including our Suites building, spending time with residents and handing out Easter bags that brought plenty of smiles.

Chef Phil also prepared a beautiful Easter lunch that everyone enjoyed. The menu featured potato leek soup, rack of lamb, citrus baked ham, sweet potato mash, dill carrots, stuffing, and strawberry cake to finish. It was a thoughtful and well prepared meal that made the day feel even more meaningful.

It was a lovely day filled with connection, celebration, and simple moments that made it feel like Easter.

Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful outing to Temecula with our Silvergate crew!

We began with lunch at Penfold's Cafe & Bakery, where the service was attentive and welcoming, and the food was excellent! Residents had a great time visiting with one another and enjoying a relaxed meal together.

Afterward, we stopped at Ritzy Rags for some clothes shopping. Everyone enjoyed browsing, finding unique items, and spending time together outside the community.

It was truly a beautiful day to be out together.

There is something special about the everyday moments here at our Silvergate Fallbrook Suites.

This week, residents spent time moving through a gentle tai chi session, focusing on balance, coordination, and breathing. It is a quiet kind of strength, the kind you build slowly and carry with you.

Out on the patio, others cared for our garden, watering herbs and tending to new growth under the morning sun. These small routines bring purpose, connection, and a sense of calm.

At Silvergate Suites, health and wellbeing are not just goals. They are part of daily life, shaped through movement, fresh air, and meaningful engagement.

Last Thursday, our community gathered for a paint and sip that brought out so much creativity and connection.

We were fortunate to have Abigail Goodman from Oceanside Museum of Art lead the class, guiding everyone step by step while still leaving plenty of room for personal expression. Each table had its own energy, and it was fun to see how differently every piece came together.

Breeze Photo Booth added a fun touch to the evening, giving everyone a chance to snap some great photos and capture the moment.

Chef Phil prepared a beautiful spread of gourmet dips, desserts, and charcuterie that kept everyone happily snacking throughout the evening.

From start to finish, the room felt energized in creativity. Residents, guests, and staff creating expressive art, mingling with each other, and simply enjoying the moment together.

Art for All Ages joined us this March, and it was such a fun time.

Residents spent the afternoon painting beautiful landscapes, each one with its own style and personality. Some followed the example and others added their own touch. Every piece turned out something to be proud of. It is always great to see everyone trying something new and enjoying the process together.

Our Suites residents have been enjoying a mix of activities throughout the day, from gentle exercises and coordination games to interactive group time. These moments keep everyone engaged while also supporting mobility, focus, and overall well being.

We had such a fun St. Patrick’s Day here at Silvergate!

Our residents got creative and built their very own leprechaun, which quickly became the star of the day. From festive hats to photo moments, there was so much laughter and great energy throughout the community, including in the suites where the celebration carried on.

Chef prepared a delicious traditional menu with corned beef and cabbage and we topped it off with green beer and a variety of wines to enjoy.

This afternoon our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Temecula Valley Players Theatre to see Cabaret. The show was fantastic. The music, dancing, and performances were incredible, and everyone had such a great time experiencing live theatre together. It’s always special getting out together for live theater, and this one did not disappoint. There were lots of smiles, applause, and great conversations afterward about favorite parts of the show.

On Monday we had the pleasure of learning from one of our very own residents, Dr. Randy Brill, who gave a fascinating presentation for fellow residents.

Dr. Brill, a former scientist and dolphin trainer, shared a video titled “Why Does the Dolphin Smile?” which explored the incredible science of echolocation and how dolphins use sound to navigate and understand the world around them.

After the video, Dr. Brill added more context from his own experiences working with dolphins and answered questions from the group. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to learn something new, engage their curiosity, and hear firsthand stories from such a unique career.
