Halloween at Silvergate was one for the books! Our courtyard came alive with laughter, music, land plenty of spooky fun. Residents and guests joined together for an afternoon of great food, costumes, and entertainment under the fall sunshine.

Chef Phil treated everyone to mummy dogs, sliders, fries, and loaded potato skins, while our “witches brew” cocktails were a big hit at the bar. The band 3 Car Garage kept the crowd rocking and dancing, and Circus Joy’s stilt walkers brought big smiles all around. Guests even had their fortunes read by High Priestess Love herself!

A big thank you to our amazing staff who dressed up, served with heart, and made sure everyone had a frightfully good time. Silvergate sure knows how to celebrate in style!

For our October candlelight dinner, the Silvergate dining room glowed with Halloween charm as residents gathered for an evening of fine dining and music. Chef Phil’s menu featured a refreshing Peach and Fig Salad, Braised Short Ribs, Seared Halibut, and a rich Ganache Cake for dessert which was the perfect combination for a fall celebration.

As residents dined by candlelight, Phil Leonelli filled the room with beautiful piano music, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and elegant.

What a fun afternoon we had at Peking Wok in Bonsall! The food was absolutely amazing and the potstickers disappeared fast. Everyone enjoyed hot tea, good conversation, and plenty of laughs. The sun was shining, the breeze was perfect, and it was simply a great day to be out with Silvergate friends.

Our friends from Gypsy Folk stopped by to perform traditional German dancing that had everyone clapping along and smiling. Chef Phil treated everyone to a true Oktoberfest feast with warm pretzels, savory sausage, and sauerkraut, perfectly paired with cold German beer. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate in the courtyard!

Of course, no Oktoberfest would be complete without the Chicken Dance. Residents and staff joined in the fun and kept the laughter going! Prost to that! 🍻

Fallbrook Scarecrow Days are here!
Our talented Silvergate residents had a blast creating the perfect scarecrow named Imma Waitin’. She is patiently waiting for the Silvergate bus to whisk her away on one of our amazing outings. From the handcrafted face to her stylish outfit, every detail was made with laughter, teamwork, and creativity. The residents truly transformed Imma into the perfect addition for our community! Be sure to stop by and see Imma Waitin’ during Fallbrook Scarecrow Days in October! She is hard to miss with her sunny smile and heart covered slippers.

A huge thank you to Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce for coming out to our community and helping our residents put together Imma!

Caring for someone with dementia can feel overwhelming at times, but no one should go through it alone. Our upcoming Dementia Support Group, hosted by Advantage Health Systems, is open to families, staff, and community members. It’s a place to connect with others who truly understand, share experiences, and find encouragement and practical ways to cope together.

What a perfect way to wrap up the summer! Our end of summer BBQ was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of good food. SunDayGo kept the energy high with great tunes, Chef Phil served up his amazing ribs, chicken and burgers, and the Tiki Treats Dole Whip truck was a sweet hit with residents and staff!

Silvergate Fallbrook was proud to sponsor the 15th hole at the Annual Fallbrook Chamber Golf Tournament. This wonderful event supports the Fallbrook Food Pantry and brought the community together for a meaningful cause.

The day could not have been more perfect with gorgeous weather and the beautiful backdrop of the Havens Country Club.

Lunch at the Mexico Café in Temecula was such a treat, palatably and visually! Out plates came out filled with tacos, rice, and beans, and there were a few giant margaritas that brought plenty of smiles. Once we were finished, everyone took their time wandering through the restaurant to see the Halloween display. From glowing spiders overhead to life-size spooky figures, the decorations filled every corner. It was the perfect mix of good food, laughter, and a little Halloween fun.

Today our residents enjoyed a colorful afternoon with Heather from Art of All Ages. Heather guided everyone through a hot air balloon painting class and the results were beautiful. Each resident created their own version of the scene, filling the sky with bright colors and floating balloons. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine and their smiles as they held up their finished artwork.

Yesterday we started our day with brunch at Caroline’s Seaside Café, nestled above the shoreline, with gorgeous views of the ocean. It was a perfect spot to take in the beauty while eating a fresh delicious meal. Afterward we headed over to Birch Aquarium where we spent the afternoon exploring the exhibits and watching the sea life. From the stingrays to the seadragons, there was so much to see! It turned out to be a wonderful day with plenty of time to enjoy the view of the ocean waves.

Silvergate Fallbrook residents enjoyed an afternoon full of wit and humor when Rob Crisell joined us for his crash course on How Not to Hate Shakespeare. With his lively style, he brought Shakespeare’s words to life and even had residents acting out some of the most memorable scenes.

Rob also shared wines from his own Crisell Family Vineyards in Temecula, giving everyone a chance to enjoy a taste of his vineyard while diving into the world of Shakespeare. It was a wonderful mix of entertainment, education, and community that left residents smiling and engaged.
