It was just a wonderful day as we had our annual, end of summer bbq. We had face painting, Miss Robin did our ladies nails, carnival games, our kitchen staff knocked it out of the park and The Sierra Jam Band entertained us. We had so, so much fun!

We headed out to “Sawdust Alpacas,” this morning. Everyone had fun, some of us got to feed pellets to them and a few of our ladies shopped in their store. Once again we thank Mr. Glen and Miss Carolyn for always welcoming us with open arms. We will see you in the fall.

We are all celebrating “King Kamehameha Day” here at The Homestead today. This day of celebration first began in Hawaii June 11th 1872. We’re all dressed for the occasion and enjoyed a delicious traditional Hawaiin meal for lunch. This afternoon we will be watching the movie, Blue Hawaii, with popcorn and snacks.
