▪️This patient presented to Respire Physical Therapy with a herniated lumbar disc after lifting something heavy📦. The physical therapist was able to assess and find that this patient had severe tightness🚨 in his lumbar multifidus and quadratus lumborum musculature.

▪️ In this video📹, the physical therapist is performing dry needling with electrical stimulation⚡️ on the lumbar multifidus and quadratus lumborum muscles in the lower back. 🧐Dry needling can help:
✅release deep muscle tension/tightness
✅improve blood🩸 flow to the area

▫️This patient presented to Respire Physical Therapy with an acute shoulder dislocation🙋‍♀️💥 that left her with shoulder instability and difficulty performing both high-level work-related and daily tasks 💼🧺 . In this video📹, she is performing a modified serratus push-up designed📝🔍 to target and strengthen the serratus anterior and improve shoulder stability 💪 .

▫️The serratus anterior anchors the shoulder blade against the ribcage, allowing for smooth and controlled scapular movement during arm motion. When the serratus anterior muscle is weak🚨 or under active, the shoulder blade can “wing” away from the body, disrupting normal shoulder mechanics and contributing to pain and instability 🦴⚠️.
