🤳Patient Success Spotlight!✨
▪️This patient presented to Respire Physical Therapy with foot pain👣💥 that gave him pain when walking in the morning⛅️. The initial evaluation📝 revealed foot eversion and inversion weakness, plantar fascia tightness, and decreased single-leg balance and proprioception.

▪️ In this video📹, the patient is performing a single-leg stance on a foam surface to build ankle inversion/eversion stability while improving single leg balance/proprioception. The unstable surface challenges🧠💡 his foot and ankle to make constant micro-adjustments, activating the intrinsic foot muscles and lateral ankle stabilizers to maintain alignment. After working hard💪, we are happy🥳 to share that this patient is able to walk in the morning without✨ any foot pain. 🏆Congratulations on all your success👏!

💬Knee🦵💥 injuries are one of the most common injuries🤕 seen in both athletes⛷️⚽️🏀 and active adults🏃‍♀️, and one of the most frequently injured structures in the knee is the ACL, or anterior cruciate ligament. You may have heard🧐 about ACL injuries when professional athletes go down with knee injuries, but ACL tears can happen to anyone from weekend warriors🏋️‍♂️ to people simply stepping off a curb 🚏🚸awkwardly.

🦵ACL Rehab Spotlight✨
🔹This patient presented to Respire Physical Therapy after he suffered an ACL tear playing soccer⚽️🥅 and cutting awkwardly. The initial evaluation📝 found decreased hamstring strength and decreased dynamic knee control🧠⚡️, which are critical for protecting the ACL.

🔹 In this video📹, the physical therapist is testing peak 🏔️isometric hamstring muscle strength and force using a dynamometer by having the patient resist knee flexion with maximal effort. This objective muscle test🧐 helps confirm symmetrical hamstring strength and adequate force production⚖️ needed to safely decelerate, sprint, cut, and change direction during soccer. We are happy👏🥳🎊 and excited to share that this patient was able to return to soccer without limitations ⚽️💪🏆

💬Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain💥 is a common but often misunderstood source 🧐of lower back and hip discomfort. The SI joints sit where the spine meets the pelvis and play a key🔑 role in transferring forces between the upper body and legs. Because SI joint pain can mimic other conditions like sciatica or disc issues, it’s frequently misdiagnosed or left untreated🤕.
