Moderation with Sweets: Enjoy those candies, but remember to brush your teeth afterward!
Stay Hydrated: Balance out the sugary snacks with plenty of water.
Stay Safe: If you’re out and about, wear reflective clothing and stay in well-lit areas.

An ingrown toenail, also known as onychocryptosis, is a common condition where the edge of the toenail grows into the surrounding skin instead of growing over it. This can lead to pain, swelling, redness, and sometimes infection. Ingrown toenails typically occur on the big toe, but they can affect any toe.

Ingrown toenails can be caused by several reasons such as improper nail trimming, trauma, genetics, poor fitting shoes and an abnormal nail shape.

Treatment for ingrown toenails depends on the severity of the condition. Schedule an appointment today if you are experiencing pain to have your ingrown toenail evaluated and treated!

A ganglion cyst is a non-cancerous lump filled with fluid that often develops near joints or tendons of the foot. It usually develops over time, often as a result of repeated irritation. It may also be the result of trauma or an underlying medical condition, such as arthritis. While usually harmless, it can cause discomfort with activity and shoes. In some cases, there may be tingling or sharp pain if it is pressing on a nearby nerve.

If you notice any lumps on your foot or ankle, call to schedule an appointment with one of our providers for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management!
