❤HAPPY ALMOST VALENTINE'S DAY❤

In honor of this special day, show your child some love by supporting his/her journey to independence through potty training!

Here at Good Beginnings, we love to normalize p**p by playing with it... with this p**p fidget toy!

Allow your child to manipulate the p**p, talk about the different shapes and compare it to the p**p he/she sees in the toilet.

Looking for some more guidance on potty training? We are here to help! Reach out! We always happy to talk p**p!

Get into the Valentine’s Day Spirit! 💘🔍

Create a fun indoor scavenger hunt for your child! You can use pre-made riddles here to save time: https://shorturl.at/YSCp6

Want to make it even more exciting? Assign a different movement your child must do between clues. Try crab walking, hopping, skipping, or tiptoeing to the next spot! This adds big body movement, laughter, and extra energy to the game.

Happy hunting! ❤

Looking for a Valentine that does more than just look cute? ❤️🎶

Try a whistle! Blowing into a whistle helps build coordination and engages core muscles, which can also support pushing during bowel movements. It’s a simple, fun tool your child can use while practicing sitting on the potty.

A small gift that supports play, body awareness, and confidence during potty training!

Turn recycling into play! ♻️🧩

Save a cereal box (or pasta or cracker box) and transform it into an easy DIY puzzle. Choose one side of the box and cut it into smaller pieces. Making them bigger or smaller lets you customize the challenge for your child.

Tip: Take a picture of the box before cutting and tape it to the front of a zip-lock bag holding the pieces. This gives your child a visual guide of what the finished puzzle should look like and supports problem solving, visual skills, and patience...all through play!

Looking for a fun way to get out of the house & get in some movement and play for your baby?

Join us for one of our baby classes on Friday, February 20th!
_____________________________________________
SIT & ROLL (4-6 MONTHS)

Help your baby build strength and confidence as they roll, reach, and learn stability with sitting. Learn simple, playful strategies to encourage early mobility at home.

Good fit if your baby already:
• Reaches for toys on their back
• Enjoys tummy time with a strong sphinx hold
• Holds head steady when supported
• Watches and follows toys or people

__________________________________________
ON THE KNEES (7–9 MONTHS)

Support your baby as they move into kneeling and crawling positions, strengthening core muscles and coordination. Parents learn fun ways to encourage scooting, pivoting, and exploring safely.

Good fit if your baby:
• Rolls freely in both directions
• Sits independently
• Rocks or bounces on hands and knees
• Shows curiosity about their surroundings

$25/class: cash or checks made payable to "Good Beginnings" will be collected prior to class starting

Add a little excitement to lunchtime! 🥪✨

Turn an everyday sandwich into something special by using a cookie cutter (or a knife) to create a fun shape. This easy swap removes the crust (often a challenge for kids) and can encourage them to try something new.

Want to take it a step further? Let your child help! Hand them the cookie cutter and invite them to make the shape themselves. Getting involved builds confidence, fine motor skills, and excitement around eating. 💛

This week’s Toy of the Week is a Fire Station & Truck 🚒✨
This open ended play setup sparks imagination, storytelling and problem solving as kids create their own rescue adventures.

Try joining in by asking questions like:
“Where is the fire?” 🔥
“How will the firefighter get there?” 🚨
“What tools will they need to help?”

Simple prompts like these encourage language skills, flexible thinking, and creativity while you play together.

Here’s a winter craft that grows over time ❄️✨
Create a large snowflake on cardboard or canvas, then invite your child to add stickers along the lines a little at a time. It’s a project they can return to for days or weeks, building fine motor skills, focus, and creativity with every sticker placed!

Here’s a healthy, cozy twist on hot chocolate that’s sure to warm your little one from the inside out! 🍫✨
Instead of using traditional sugar, this simple recipe swaps in honey or maple syrup for a naturally sweet boost and it’s just as delicious.

Invite your child to help with the fun parts: measuring, pouring, and mixing. These small steps build independence, confidence, and motor skills… and make the treat taste even sweeter when they help create it! 🥰☕️
