🍔 Toy of the Week: Wooden Burger Stacking Game! 🎉

This fun and interactive game is more than just pretend play, it’s a great way to work on coordination, multi-step directions, and motor planning skills.

Want to take it up a notch? Turn it into a movement game! 🏃‍♀️
Place the burger toppings around the room and have your child complete different movements (like crab walk, hop, or tiptoe) to collect the ingredients. Then, follow the "menu" to stack the burger just right!

Perfect for engaging the body and the brain!

✏️ Fine Motor Fun: Pencil Tower Challenge! 🏗️
Before you sharpen all those #2 pencils, let your child get creative and build a pencil tower!

This simple activity is perfect for older kiddos and a great way to sneak in fine motor skill practice, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving.

Encourage your child to experiment with different base formations. What design holds the most pencils? How high can they go before it topples?

It’s all about steady hands, curious minds, and a little engineering fun!

🥢 Snack of the Week: Banana Sushi! 🍌🍙
Looking for a fun way to switch up lunch or after-school snack time? Try banana sushi! It’s a creative, kid-approved treat that’s easy to make and even more fun to eat.

Not only is it delicious, but it also encourages children to use their fine motor skills and coordination, whether they’re slicing, spreading, or rolling.

✅ Easy to hold
✅ Fun to make
✅ Packed with goodness

Get playful with toppings like nut butter, crushed cereal, seeds, or a drizzle of honey. Let your child help create their own “rolls”, you’ll be surprised how willing they are to try something they helped make!

As parents, we want to know every detail about our child's day at school. However, we often get nothing or maybe one detail, at best.

Start a new dinner tradition each evening- The Question Jar!

- Print out open ended questions (from the website below or create your own.)
- Each evening, have your child choose two questions from the jar.
- Get the whole family involved and include questions both kids and adults can answer!

🚽Why is it recommended to have a child sit on the toilet after meals?

Thanks to something called the gastro-colic reflex, the body naturally tells the colon to “empty out” when new food enters the body. This reflex is strongest 15–20 minutes after a meal, making it the perfect time for a bathroom sit!

Isn’t the body amazing??
