Time to celebrate our May birthdays with a party! Bob Weinmann on May 7th and Bev Seid on May 18th. Happiest of birthdays to you both! Thank you Melissa for our flag cake!

The Jonesbrook gang came wheeling up to One Stop Cafe last week for their famous Thursday chicken dinner special. It's been a staple for 30+ years! All of the residents enjoyed a salad, chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, a vegetable and a hot homeade roll. Even more special was that their was a kind stranger in a red Chevy Silerado with Kansas plates who paid for all the residents meals. Wow, they were so surprised! To top off the meal a few residents also had a yummy dessert of Butterscotch Pie or a Brownie Sundae. A One Stop regular, Bob Kirkendall, stepped up and paid for their resident's desserts. So sweet! Everyone was very thankful for the acts of kindness and the reminder of how many good people are still in the world. Thank you Alice, Jeff, Ryan, Candace and Marsha for the fantastic lunch and service! There may have been a few naps taken after that yummy lunch!

We celebrated our Mother's with a Tea Party! It was a fun afternoon with Tea in beautiful antique cups/saucers from Donna Landis and Violet McTaggart. Yummy scones from Sips on Lane, a poem, and a fun rendition of "I'm a Little Teapot" by the staff. Beautiful music by Isaac and Ryan Larsen, gorgeous flowers from Susan Sipple, Jackie Wilhelm and Sherry Aitken. What a great afternoon!

Our April lunch outing was a fun time at 6-Mile Cafe. Our waitress Steff took great care of us while we enjoyed the amazing food. She even had a little rubber duck surprise for each resident. You could say our visit was "just Ducky"!

We were blessed to have the talented Paula Frederick and Trish Brewer work together with our residents on an Easter craft! These ladies ideas are the most fun. 🥰 These bunnies turned out so cute, thank you Paula!

We had loads of fun on Friday with a visit from some little barnyard friends. Thank you to Tricia Fletcher and her daughter Brooklyn for bringing Margo the lamb, and the baby goats Pogo and Tink to visit our residents! If a couple of our residents had their way we would have a resident pet goat! We were all entertained and loved feeding and holding them. Thank you again!

The Easter Rabbit showed up early here at Jonesbrook! We had our resident/staff friends and family hunt last weekend. Chilly weather, wind, but lots of sunshine. The little ones don't care what the weather is as long as there are plenty of eggs! The afternoon was enjoyed by all. Here are some photos of our fun time.
