Testimonials:
After suffering from extreme symptoms of fibromyalgia for 3 years, my new physician, Gillian Adams, MD., persuaded me to begin some type of exercise. I had lost so much of my muscle mass, so I wanted to find something that would not be overwhelming for me, not painful and I could advance at my own pace. Finding Peat is a blessing! Peat began coming to my home once a week for individual classes. After accessing my capabilities and health problems we began "gentle" yoga. Peat designs a curriculum for each class for my own unique limitations and capabilities. He not only demonstrates a performs each pose but also explains the benefits of each position. Peat is genuinely a kind and compassionate person. I have made significant strides not only in my energy level but also in my muscle mass and flexibility. I honestly feel like a new person!
~Jennifer Oliverio

After experiencing escalating arthritis and increasing pain for several years, I found myself unable to participate in activities that had always been a part of my life. I had started working with a personal trainer and had begun a weight loss program, but although I had some relief, I still could not regain the mobility and flexibility that I had always had. My doctor suggested that I consider Yoga and recommended Peat Purol who she indicated had been able to help other patients through his practice. Fortunately, I listened to her advice and began working with Peat. Within only a few months, my flexibility and mobility had increased remarkably. After almost a year, I was able to resume many of the activities I had lost. Shortly after our first year of working together, I learned that I would need a total knee replacement and was worried that would undo all the work we had accomplished, but much to my delight, I learned that the work we had done and the flexibility that I had regained would enable me to recover in half the time that would have been anticipated and with almost no loss of flexibility and movement. Even the surgeon told me that the Yoga practice and Peat had clearly enabled me to recover and even improve on what could have been expected with just the surgery and physical therapy.

Sangha is a Sanskrit work meaning "community."
Not just a movement practice, Sunday Sangha is a theme-driven, integrated yoga practice that meets weekly. Each class builds on the previous one going deeper into the themes and evolving with the participants. There will be 30 minutes of physical practice, followed by 30 minutes of breathwork, meditation, and mantra, and we will integrate each class with a group discussion around the topic for that day, how our practice supports us, and how we are growing and evolving within ourselves though practice.

Typically we come together to practice then travel right back home. Sunday Sangha invites you to intentionally connect and share our lives with one another. Come explore the other facets of yoga practice, and connect with your community!

Hello everyone!

I am in the process of being selected to live and work at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and should be finding out their decision in the next 2 weeks or so. In the mean time, I still out of work after my back surgery because of the heavy lifting required at my previous job delivering books for the public library. It is making this transition super tight right now. I am extremely grateful for the help and support folks have offered so far.

Now, I am much further along in my recovery, not 100% but progressing my rehab exercises and back to practicing basic strengthening work and most yoga postures. I am at a place now where I can offer my services without risking my own health. I am open and available for the next month to guide group or private yoga asana classes, energy work, meditation classses, etc…

If you are new to yoga practice I enjoy working with beginners, and if you are further along or me to teaching yoga I have over 10 years of practice and teaching to share in many facets of practice.

Please feel free to dm me here or email me at yogicroots@gmail.com
